Mitch – Alternative Vocalist

There may be times when our frontman (Rob Lea) is unavailable. In these instances, we always believe it’s only fair to be up front with our clients and say something about this prior to the day, as we know a vocalist is a huge part of a band’s sound.

Fortunately, we can often rely on a fantastically talented alternative vocalist, Mitch Colcombe, who has helped us on many occasions and is totally at home in both a band context and as a solo performer. He normally performs during the day at wedding receptions / ceremonies etc., which is why he often has free time to help us in the evening should Rob be unable to join us.

Besides his great vocal ability, he has a strong knowledge of our set-list and is a charismatic performer, who has no issues interacting with a crowd comfortably. We’re really pleased to have him on board as we don’t think there are many stand-in’s who could deliver the same quality on stage, and at short notice, that he does!

Take a listen to the clips below to hear him in action.

This video features a relatively new band called “Clone Club”, performing at “The Garage” near Nottingham – a great venue with amazing sound and food trucks if you ever fancy a night out!

In this clip is The Four Kicks Guitarist, Matt, on lead guitar, along with Mitch on Rhythm Guitar & vocals. These are the first 2 tracks of the evening, so they are a couple of slower songs to warm in the crowd before things got a little more lively and dancy later.

The songs featured are “Budapest” by George Ezra & “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5. The early start also explains the younger crowd (one of them actually being Mitch’s little girl!). Both songs also feature on The Four Kick’s setlist.

Skip to: 3 minutes 40 seconds, if you want to hear “She Will Be Loved” – it definitely shows off Mitch’s vocal ability!
